$BEACH partner Let’s Go Clean the Beach has undertaken one of the biggest Beach Cleans that the $BEACH community has been involved with.

Togbe Ghana and his team were in action at South Labadi Estate Beach, Accra Ghana.

With his team of 33 workers and volunteers they removed an amazing 1000kg of waste broken down as follows:

Plastics 80kg

Wood 59kg

General Waste 861kg

The A Team

Let’s Go Clean The Beach is founded and run by Togbe Ghana, a musician and ocean plastic activist. He has been organising beach clean ups for three years now, going to waterfalls, beaches and riversides near Accra, and using the materials to make recycled bricks which he uses to pave the local school and community.
